Two critical events in the Cub Scout experience need coordinators: Pinewood Derby and Blue & Gold Dinner. These are great opportunities for a leadership role that does not involve a year-long commitment.
The Pinewood Derby Coordinator leads the committee which is responsible for approving the rules for our pack’s race, getting cars to the boys, determining the award categories, handling the equipment (track, timing tools, etc.), planning and running the race day, and other related activities. The Pinewood Derby for Pack 632 is Friday, January 29, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
The Blue and Gold Dinner Coordinator organizes our Pack family dinner, usually held in February (date not yet set). The duties include selecting the menu and entertainment with assistance from the cub master and other pack leaders. Once selected, the coordinator, with assistance from other volunteers, obtains the food, arranges the entertainment, and pulls it all together the day of the event with decorations.
