Raingutter Regatta at Dec 8 Pack Meeting Sunday, Nov 20 2011

The Raingutter Regatta is similar to the Pinewood Derby except that the models are miniature sailboats that are ‘sailed’ in 10-foot lengths of raingutter filled with water and powered by the boy’s lung power delivered through a straw. Each boy is to build his own boat from the kit passed out at the November pack meeting with supervision and help from parents or other family members.

If you missed the November pack meeting, please contact our Regatta Chairman, Dana Holman, to arrange to pick up your boat kit.

Please note: This race is just for fun – the trophies that are part of the Pinewood Derby will not be given out at the Raingutter Regatta. They will remain part of the Pinewood Derby on January 27th.
